Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Bahawalpur has the authority to conduct the annual and supplementary exams of matric and intermediate classes for the affiliated schools and colleges and private candidates in the districts of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahimyar Khan. These three districts are the southern most districts of Punjab. Like other boards in Punjab, Bahawalpur Board also conducts the SSC and HSSC exams according to a regular schedule.

The 9th and 10th class written and practical exams under BISE Bahawalpur are conducted in the months of March and April while the board issues the roll number slips to all the regular and private students around the month of January. The roll number slips are sent in the regular institutes and private addresses of the regular and private students respectively. The supplementary exams of both SSC and HSSC classes are held two months after the announcement of results while the roll number slips are dispatched one month earlier than the start of the exams.

On the other hand, the 11th and 12th class written and practical exams are held in the months of May and June while the roll number slips are issued couple of months earlier than the exams. The schedule for the supplementary exams is also quite similar with the posting of roll number slips after a month of result announcement and organization of exams after two one month of sending of roll number slips.
