Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Bahawalpur has the responsibility to conduct matric and intermediate level exams in the southernmost districts of Punjab which include the districts of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan. In all these districts, all the public and private schools and colleges are affiliated with BISE Bahawalpur for their SSC and HSSC level exams. Bahawalpur Board conducts 9th class annual exams and 10th class annual exams during the months of March and April while 11th class annual exams and 12th class annual exams are held during the months of May and June. Written papers are held earlier which are followed by practical papers for the students of science group. Every year, thousands of regular and private students from the above mentioned districts participate in the matric and intermediate level exams under BISE Bahawalpur.
